Paul Telford - Director of Strategic Development

Throughout his Police career, Paul has strived to be the best at what he does and this is reflected in him reaching the highest ranks within the UK Police service. Having recently returned from working in the Philippines where he was in command of a security task force for a number of VIP’s and their families, Paul has immersed himself into the security needs of our established clients.

As co-director and responsible for the strategic development of the company, Paul brings over 30 years experience in protection and risk management. Understanding our clients’ needs and creating dynamic and resourceful care and support are where his strengths lie.


Stephen Helliwell - Director of Operations

Following a distinguished and decorated UK Police career, Stephen has worked as security advisor and consultant for a number of high net worth clients.

As co-director, Stephen has overall responsibility for the creation, implementation and delivery of the safety and welfare packages each student client will benefit from. His experience in identifying risk, problem solving and crisis management ensures that all situations the team at Student Safety UK face, remain client focused when helping their students. A dedicated family man, Stephen is interested in student life & learning, and an advocate of the mental health awareness policy of Student safety UK.



Gaynor Frith - Senior Safety Coordinator

Gaynor has had a varied career both in the British military and UK Police service. During her time in the services she accrued several awards and commendations that recognised her tenacity, integrity and exemplary work ethic. She possesses excellent communication skills and due to her genial character, she has established excellent relationships with our strategic partners, international students and their families.

Since retiring from uniformed services, Gaynor has worked to become  the lead coordinator for Student Safety UK and handles the day to day management of our regional coordinators.

Jessica Rodgers - Head of People

Jessica is responsible for strategically leading the HR agenda to support business growth and performance. She has extensive experience in the administration sector gained working for the British Army, and a large firm of UK solicitors.  Jessica is responsible for overseeing all aspects of reward, employee relations, guiding leaders and developing the workforce company-wide.

She is a mother of two daughters who have both experienced life at a UK university, as well as travelling around the globe, so has the understanding and knowledge of what parents face when their loved ones go off into the big wide world.
