Introduction
SSUK collects and uses personal information about staff, students, overseas parents, host families, and other individuals who come into contact with us. This information is gathered in order to enable us to provide a high quality Guardianship Service and other associated functions. Additionally there may be a legal requirement to collect and use information to ensure SSUK is complaint with its’ statutory obligations.
SSUK has a duty to be registered as data Controllers, with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) detailing the information held and it’s use. SSUK registration details are available on the ICO’s website.
This Policy is to ensure that personal information is dealt with correctly and securely and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the 25 May 2018 regulations for EU citizens. It will apply to information regardless of the way it is collected, used, recorded, stored and destroyed irrespective of whether it is held in paper files or electronically.
All members of SSUK involved with the collection, processing and disclosure of personal data will be aware of their duties and responsibilities by following these guidelines.

How SSUK Stores the Information

How SSUK Protect the Information
All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL/TLS technology and managed by Flywire. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our Site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential.
